At the end of September the "Real Feria de San Miguel" is celebrated, the city's most important festival. During the evening, the party is in the centre of Vélez-Málaga: in the La Plaza de Carmelita, the Canalejas and Calle Reñidero, and in the Parque Andalucía. At night the party is in the Real. The atmosphere is typical of the fairs of Andalucia. In both there are different traditional dances of Vélez, one of them is the "sevillanas", a typical dance.
