Another very important festivals are the "Romerías", in Vélez. There are two: the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios and the Cabrillas romery. It's celebrated in May depending on the date of El Rocío. Before this two virgins were united in romería, but for 4 years they were separated. The virgins go by a cart of tame bulls. Lots of horses go with them and open the road. People wear the typical costumes of the town: Traje campero and flamenca dress.
