The aim of the project is to raise students awareness of their European identity shared values and culture through the arts.(Music, art, dance, visiual arts, video...)The final project will be a song, the lyrics and music of which will be written and composed by the students of the project countries. They will design a choreography and a video (which includes clip of the song) will be published on a web site. They will also have published on the web site the results of their works. The students spread their cultures all over the world via the Internet. Student mobilities will take place between the 4 countries.
Intercultural integration: learning about different cultures and teaching own culture.The students of our four high schools are specialized in music or art. They will share their experiences about music and art and work on a common project based on their common specialties . Besides as they are not comfortable in foreign languages and cultures, the project gives them the chance to communicate through a common passion and so doing they will also improve their linguistic skills and speaking skills.
The students will work on the artistic specificities of each country and on common influences to reinforce a European identity. They will get to know other cultures and improve the knowledge of their own thanks to mobilities and the project. Meeting and working with others on a common project will show the differences between the cultures but also what they share and how similar they can be. They will study and perform local dances and music. They will learn about the differences between artistic life in a capital cities and in regional towns. Mobilities will help them share the everyday life of other cultures. Joined projects with teachers of other disciplines will be published on a common website. The classes of the four countries will work together on multilingual projects using information and communication technologies (the website, skype, chat rooms, videos etc.)
